On September 8, I begin walking the Camino Francés nearly 500 miles across Spain to Santiago de Compostela.

I started planning this journey as something I wanted to do for myself: a chance to slow down, simplify, reflect, and see where the road takes me as I begin a whole new chapter of life as an empty nester.

But as the trip got closer, I realized I don't want all 500 miles to be about me.

So I am dedicating 100 miles of my Camino to others.

A mile can be walked in honor of someone who could use a little extra love, strength, or prayer right now; in memory of someone you miss; in gratitude for someone special; or simply for an intention you hold close to your heart.

I'll carry that person or intention with me for that mile. There is no obligation to share more than you want to your intention can remain completely private.

Along the way, I'll be sharing my adventure here through photos, stories, and little reflections from the road. I'll also share each of my 100 dedicated miles so you can follow along and see the part of the Camino that I walked for your person or intention.

I have no idea exactly what the next 500 miles will bring and I think that's part of why I'm doing this.

One backpack. One step at a time. And 100 miles walked for something bigger than me.

Buen Camino ❤️
